Every year, the [Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network (RAINN)](https://rainn.org/strategies-to-reduce-risk-increase-safety/for-students-safety-steps-for-k-12-and-college/) hosts a day of action to raise awareness and educate students about sexual violence on college campuses. This year, RAINN Day falls on Wednesday, April 15th. The organization has designed it to be flexible and to accommodate the needs of different college campuses, emphasizing that activities last from one day to one month, as desired. Successful RAINN Day events can consist of screening a documentary, hosting an awareness booth, or simply distributing informational fliers – anything that encourages students to spread the word about risk reduction and recovery resources that are available to them. The statistics are alarming. The [National Sexual Violence Resource Center (NSVRC) reports](http://www.nsvrc.org/publications/nsvrc-publications-fact-sheets/media-packet-campus-sexual-assault) that one in five women and one in 16 men are sexually assaulted while in college. On college campuses, the majority of these crimes (90%) are **never even reported**. 75% of the self-reported perpetrators said they’d used alcohol prior to their most recent perpetration incident. Alcohol-related incidents were much more likely to include attempted or completed rape than incidents without alcohol, says the NSVRC. To combat these unacceptable trends on college campuses nationwide, [3rd Millennium Classrooms](https://3rdmil.com/middle-and-high-school-category/) offers an [online prevention course](https://3rdmil.com/courses-for-colleges-and-universities/) called [**Consent & Respect**.](https://3rdmil.com/consent-respect/) This course is a brief online course that provides college students with facts about sexual assault, consent, intimate partner violence, stalking, warning signs of abusive behavior, the role of men as advocates, and safe and positive options that will empower bystanders in potential high-risk situations. [**Consent & Respect**](https://3rdmil.com/consent-respect/) satisfies the Campus Sexual Violence Elimination Act (SaVE Act) requirement for educational programming and can also be bundled with 3rd Millennium Classrooms’ [**Alcohol-Wise**](https://3rdmil.com/alcohol-wise/) prevention course. ## Popular Topics: - [Alcohol](https://3rdmil.com/category/alcohol/) - [Drugs](https://3rdmil.com/category/drugs/) - [Cannabis and THC](https://3rdmil.com/category/cannabis-and-thc/) - [Vaping and Nicotine](https://3rdmil.com/category/vaping-and-nicotine/) - [Human Trafficking](https://3rdmil.com/category/human-trafficking/) - [Healthy Relationships](https://3rdmil.com/category/healthy-relationships/) - [Universities and Colleges](https://3rdmil.com/category/universities-and-colleges/) - [High Schools and Middle Schools](https://3rdmil.com/category/high-schools-and-middle-schools/) [https://3rdmil.com/?s=](https://3rdmil.com/?s=) ![](https://3rdmil.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/search_desktop.svg) ![](https://3rdmil.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/search_mobile.svg) [see all articles tablet](https://3rdmil.com/?s=) ![](https://3rdmil.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/search_desktop.svg) ![](https://3rdmil.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/search_mobile.svg) [Page 1 32](https://3rdmil.com/?s=) ![](https://3rdmil.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/Page-1-3.svg) ## Related Articles [![bg\_sec2](https://3rdmil.com/wp-content/uploads/elementor/thumbs/bg_sec2-qgm4sqdgtva4y0szr7luczafz6p3apz36ubh34q1g0.webp) ## AI and Academic Integrity: How Universities Can Prevent AI Cheating and Protect Their Reputation ![](https://3rdmil.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/Little-Squares.svg)](https://3rdmil.com/ai-academic-integrity-higher-education/) [![Cannabis\_ A\_Detailed\_Guide-img](https://3rdmil.com/wp-content/uploads/elementor/thumbs/Cannabis_-A_Detailed_Guide-img-scaled-1-qk224g3aw94ulf50ia25tol5l5prkigud7zuec2bbk.jpg) ## The 2018 Farm Bill Explained: What Schools, Courts, and Agencies Must Know in 2026 ![](https://3rdmil.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/Little-Squares.svg)](https://3rdmil.com/the-2018-farm-bill-explained-what-schools-courts-and-agencies-must-know-in-2026/) [![hazing prevention photo](https://3rdmil-uploads.nyc3.digitaloceanspaces.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/06212432/hazing-prevention-photo.jpg) ## Hazing Is a Multi-Million Dollar Problem for Universities: Here’s Why Prevention Matters ![](https://3rdmil.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/Little-Squares.svg)](https://3rdmil.com/cost-of-hazing-universities/) [![Screenshot 2026-05-07 110053](https://3rdmil-uploads.nyc3.digitaloceanspaces.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/05/07160103/Screenshot-2026-05-07-110053.png) ## Course Highlight: Hazing & Hosting ![](https://3rdmil.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/Little-Squares.svg)](https://3rdmil.com/course-highlight-hazing-hosting/) [https://3rdmil.com/?s=](https://3rdmil.com/?s=)
