Officer Jermaine Galloway, widely known as the “Tall Cop,” is a nationally and internationally recognized expert in substance abuse prevention, education, and enforcement. With over 20 years of experience, Officer Galloway has trained more than 800,000 professionals and community members across the U.S., Canada, and Bermuda. A former Division I basketball player and graduate of the University of San Francisco with a BA in Sociology, he served 18 years in law enforcement with assignments including alcohol compliance, CSI, DUI task force, and officer mentoring.

In 2007, he founded “Tall Cop Says Stop™,” a company dedicated to addressing substance abuse issues through his nationally recognized program, “High in Plain Sight.” This program equips professionals and communities with practical strategies for identifying and addressing emerging drug and alcohol trends. Officer Galloway has conducted over 8,400 community scans to analyze local drug cultures and trends.

Officer Galloway has been featured in media outlets, books, and articles, and recently launched the “Tall Cop Says Stop Podcast” on Spotify and Apple platforms. In 2024, he achieved certification as an International Instructor by the International Association of Directors of Law Enforcement Standards and Training. Known for his high-energy presentations, Officer Galloway continues to provide essential education to empower communities in the fight against substance abuse.
